When the Land Rover Defender was originally introduced, it had a wheelbase of 90 inches, thus the name. While the measurements are not exact on current models, the naming convention has stayed. When you have perfected the luxury SUV, you stay with tradition.
Land Rover Defender 90
The current Land Rover Defender sits on a wheelbase of 101.9 inches, increasing stability while maintaining the Defender’s legendary off-road abilities for drivers in Macomb. This SUV can overcome an approach angle of 31.5 degrees and easily clear obstacles with its 8.9-inch ride height. With two doors and seating for five or six (with the optional front-row jump seat), the Defender 90 is a great run-a-bout out in the woods or the city.
Land Rover Defender 110
While sitting on a 119-inch wheelbase, the Land Rover Defender 110 shares many off-roading specifications with the Defender 90. However, the Defender 110 adds two doors, making it easier for rear-seat passengers from Rochester to enter. The Defender 110 also has the option to add a front-row jump seat and a third row, allowing for seating for between five and seven passengers.
Land Rover Defender 130
The Land Rover Defender 130 shares a wheelbase with the Defender 110 at 119 inches. The Defender 130 simply overhangs the wheels more in the rear. The Defender 130 can tackle approach angles of 37.5 degrees and clear obstacles on the road in Shelby Township with a ride height of 8.5 inches. With a third row, the Defender 130 can fit eight passengers.
