Keep Your Pet Cool in the Car

Pets make great road trip buddies — they’re friendly, eager, and they’re always up for a walk. If you’re traveling in the summer, a few precautions can keep your four-legged friend cool.

Temperatures inside your vehicle can rise quickly. If you need to get out of the car to pump gas or pop into a store for a few minutes, be sure to crack a window. You can also leave the car running with the AC on.

Need to leave the car for more than three to five minutes? Make sure to take your pet with you to protect them from high heat.

When you’re traveling in warm weather, it’s always a good idea to keep your furry friend hydrated. Bring along a collapsible bowl, and let your pet drink each time you stop.
